March: Adopt zero-waste habits
Bear in mind that switching to a zero-waste lifestyle takes time to achieve. You can’t expect yourself to change your habits in one day. But what’s most important is that you constantly work towards this goal.
Take one step by one to eliminate single-use plastic or switch to more eco-friendly products. Over time, you will see the results of your sustainable journey.
April: Wake up early
Early risers have always benefited from the quiet mornings. Most of them make full use of this time to work towards their goals or get stuff done without distractions. What they don’t tell us is that it can also help save electricity bills.
With all the natural sunlight you get in the morning and the habit of sleeping early at night, you can save your wallet and help the environment!

May: Forest Bathing
Nature has healing powers. Immerse yourself in the forest and embrace the serenity. It can help you unwind and destress after a long week while boosting your immune system.
When you walk along the trail, take your time to breathe in the fresh air and listen to the songs of nature. Try to absorb as much of the wild as possible.

June: Plant a Tree
Look for organizations that plant trees and see if you can volunteer to help. Although not every country or city has such a program, you can always consider adopting a houseplant instead. You can even consider starting your herb garden and saving yourself money

As you progress along your zero-waste journey, you’ll learn different tips and tricks to help. Take this opportunity to share your experience with others so they can start their journey too.
For beginners, it might seem overwhelming at first. But with your knowledge, you can help them get started and remind them that every small step counts.
August: Lend & Borrow
We’re all social creatures. There’s no shame in asking someone else to lend you something you don’t have. But bear in mind that not everyone is open to sharing.
You can help change this by being a giver and a role model without shying away from asking to borrow from others.
September: Seasonal Cleanup
If it’s summertime and you’re heading to the beach, don’t forget to grab a pair of garbage clips. After enjoying the warm sand and chill water, you can do your part and leave the beach cleaner than before you came!
Make it your goal to collect at least a bag full of rubbish before leaving. If it’s too cold for the beach, a nice hike can do the trick!
October: Eat your greens!
Did you know that your diet can affect the environment? When compared to other species, cows generate up to 6 times more greenhouse gases than pigs and chickens.
You can help the environment by dedicating at least one day a week to a vegetarian diet. Or, you can cut down on the consumption of beef and other red meat.
November: Donate
Besides donating clothes and food to local charities, you can look into environmental organizations.
Whether it’s planting trees, cleaning the ocean, or helping animals, these are all great causes for you to donate and help. You can even invite your friends to donate their time and volunteer together.
December: Exchange 99% new gifts
Rather than purchasing gifts to exchange for Christmas, look around the house for brand new items. You might find gifts in mint condition or functioning electronics that you have no use for but will improve another person’s life.
Don’t hesitate to wipe it down and slip in a Christmas card to send to your loved ones. Remember, it’s the thought that counts!
