Bullet Journal - Cover

Bullet Journaling can help you organize your life, give you motivation and boost your productivity. Depending on how you use bullet journals, they can contribute to various aspects of your life and even make it easier for you to reach your goals.

What is a Bullet Journal

Basically, bullet journals are journaling books that help you manage your life. You can pick up any notebooks (preferably a dotted one) and start journaling away. Some use bullet journals to plan their daily tasks and to-do lists, while others might use them for long-term goals. You might also enjoy bullet journaling as a way to destress or for self-care.

Getting Started with Journaling

Here are some bullet journal ideas that you may refer to:

Monthly Cover Example

The Cover

Personally, I like to start with a cover to mark the start of a new month. If you enjoy doodling, then you can come up with different themes for each month. And if there’s room, you can also mark down important dates or circle people’s birthdays as a reminder.

Bullet Journal - Routine, List
Morning Routine and Gratitude List

Your Routine

Feel free to add your morning routine or evening routine into your journal. Although you may adjust the routine based on your needs, I generally stick to the same wake-up time. Most of the activities in my routine are the results of consistently optimizing my morning schedule until I feel most productive.

Lists

You can add different kinds of lists into your bullet journal. As an example, I put a Gratitude List to write down the things that I appreciate or something incredible that happened to me, which I’m deeply grateful for. Other lists you might consider include to-do lists, books list, bucket list, or even music playlists for the month.

Obviously, I’m not the best at drawing, so forgive me if you notice anything out of the ordinary. You can find plenty of inspirations for Mood Trackers on Pinterest. The idea is to mark down your mood in various doodling or colors. Seeing a nicely drawn Mood Tracker can motivate you to keep track.

Bullet Journal - Habit Tracker

Habit Tracker

One of my favorite usage of the Bullet Journal is to keep track of my habits. Whenever I look back at how I kept my good habits with most of the boxes crossed out, I feel a great sense of achievement. It’s never easy to start a healthy habit, but the results are always astounding. Keep a habit of eating healthy and working out, and you’ll be rewarded with a fit body. Learn something new every day or read a book, and you’ll become wiser and more knowledgeable. Consistency is key.

Other trackers you might like include

Bullet Journal - Weekly Spread
Weekly Spread

Weekly Spread

Each week, you can decide on a mini goal to focus on. A weekly spread can help you break down tasks so you can finish them with ease. When you complete multiple small tasks, you will feel motivated to keep going. Slowly but surely, you will reach bigger goals. Because every day, you plan out your goals and how you can achieve them bit by bit. You can also add inspirational quotes to motivate you or doodle on the side for more colors.

In Conclusion

By fully utilizing your empty notebooks and journals, you can increase your productivity and motivation while keeping your life on track. Plan out your week ahead of time and review your goals every now and then. You can reach your goals, keep track of your habits, and have fun through the art of bullet journaling.
