The Ultimate List of Self-Care Ideas Part 1
List of Self-Care Ideas

Enjoy a cup of hot beverage and a good book

Whether it’s a nice cup of fragrant tea or the usual morning coffee, set it on the side table and grab a book to read. Self-help books are my all-time favorite genre, but whatever makes you feel warm and cozy would do!

Get a full-body massage

Open up your schedule and make a booking for a full-body massage or even a spa. It’s time to pamper yourself with self-love and let the stress seep out of your bones.

Take a long bubble bath

Set the mood by lighting up some candles and preparing a glass of wine.

Unplug from social media

There’s no need to share every moment of your life. Sometimes, enjoying life without letting the world know can be a luxury. You don’t have to show off or please anyone. Simply feel grateful for your life and embrace the moment.

Cook up a nourishing meal

Your body deserves as much love as any other part of you. So search online for a warm and nutritious meal to cook for yourself. Savor every bite as if you’re eating at a Michelin-star restaurant.

Find inspiring quotes for your wallpaper

Change your phone wallpaper to your favorite quotes and inspire yourself every day.

Try a new hairstyle

People underestimate the power of changing your hairstyle. You don’t have to wait for breakups to try a new haircut or dye your hair.

Do it because you feel good about it.

Light up scented candles

Candles not only help with setting the mood, but they can also help you relax and destress with the power of fragrance. If you’re out of candles, consider attending a workshop to create your own just for fun!

Enjoy an outdoor meditation

Even the usual meditation routine feels different when you’re meditating outdoors. Immerse yourself in the closest nature you can find (could be your garden or a nearby park) and be present.

Try aromatherapy

One thing I love about aromatherapy is experimenting with the different essential oils. You can always search online for essential oil blends if you’re not confident.

Write a gratitude list

What are you grateful for today? What are three things you would thank yourself for in the future? Writing in your gratitude list can help you appreciate the little things in life that you might’ve missed.

Decorate the room with festive lights

You can always put up colorful LED lights or fairy string lights, even if it’s not Christmas. It’d be a waste to pack away something that makes you happy simply because it’s not the right season.

Wear your favorite outfit

If you absolutely love it and feel great in it, put it on! Wear your favorite outfit for yourself, not for others. You are doing your dress a favor and making it shine by putting it on, not the other way around!

Find a new go-to place

It’s time to go out and explore new places. Find somewhere that would make you lose track of time or never fails to cheer you up.

Play your favorite music

Bring out your inner DJ and jam to all your favorite songs. Make yourself a feel-good playlist if you haven’t already!

Open the windows and bathe in sunshine

Pull up the blinds and let the sunshine in. Feel your skin absorb the Vitamin D, and your whole body warm up to the beautiful sunshine.

Take yourself out on a date

This might be next-level stuff for beginners, but you’ll eventually work your way up! And for those expert self-lovers out there, it’s time for date night.

Practice positive affirmations

Affirmations have the power to change your mindset and your life. It’s okay if you don’t feel that way at first. With daily practice, you will become what you say you will.

Make your own secret garden

Spending time in nature has a plethora of benefits. Whether you’re nurturing a new seedling or caring for a growing plant, nature can help you heal. Take this time to make yourself a herb garden box or a small-space landscape.

Catch the sunset at the beach

For the early risers, don’t hesitate to catch the sunrise too. You’ll notice things that aren’t present during the sunset. But either way, spare some time to appreciate nature’s gift and be thankful for yourself for seizing this opportunity.

Go the extra mile. It’s never crowded.
